Can you believe I'm 4 months old???  Yep! 4 months!  I am learning so many new things.. this growing thing is pretty fun.  I have discovered my feet and my toes and what better place to put them than in my mouth.  Don't say gross!  You're just jealous you couldn't begin to get your feet in your mouth.  Mommy and Daddy are - they were laying on the floor with me one night trying to keep up with me and they ended up just laughing like a bunch of fools.

Last weekend was pretty special for me.  I was Baptized!  I had so many people lovin' on me and mommy and daddy had a nice party afterwards to celebrate.  Mommy and daddy are very blessed to have me and they tell me everyday I'm the best thing that's ever happened to them.  God bless me!

Daddy has been gone a lot this month for work and even though I was barely 4 months old I could sense he was gone.  I love to Skype and Facetime with him!  Technology is so cool.  I can't imagine what y'all did before it!  One night it was late when he finally called us on Skype and I was already sleeping.  Daddy begged mommy to wake me up because he missed me and she gave in!  She woke a sleeping baby!  When I looked at the screen and saw my daddy I gave my high pitched squeal and smiled and mommy didn't care anymore!  I was so excited to see my daddy!

My first Halloween is coming up and 

let me tell ya, I'm going to be so dang cute!  Daddy is carving his famous pumpkins today as I type - I hear he does a pretty amazing job.  My p's took me to a pumpkin patch which was really fun!  They let me pick my own pumpkin and everything.  Mommy was disappointed because they were out of apple cider donuts - what kind of pumpkin fest is out of donuts???  UGH!

I'm getting closer to that prime rib... I tried oatmeal on a spoon!  At first I wasn't too sure of the stuff but then I kinda liked it!  I kept reaching for the spoon and leaning for another bite.  You mean there's more to life than milk???  Don't get me wrong, I love my bottles, but I think its time for something new and exciting!

Think of me on Tuesday... I go to the doctor for my 4 month checkup... and you guessed it, more shots :(  I'm sure I'll be fine.  It's mommy we have to worry about.

3 Months! 9.27.2012

3 months today!  A quarter of a year old!  Mommy says my 90 day probation period is up and the verdict... They'll keep me!!! I have a lot to catch you up on.






I will start out by welcoming my new buddy, Dominic Michael Ugolini, into the world!  Can't wait to have some beers, eh, I mean bottles together!

Just being me...

I'm sure you're all on the edge of your seat to hear how the 2 month check up appointment went...  Well, I weighed in at 14lbs 2.5oz and I'm 24.5" tall.  Everything of mine seemed to check out okay.  Doc said I am perfect!  Hear that mom and dad???  I'm perfect! Take back all you say about me!  I tell you what though... THOSE.SHOTS.SUCKED!  I was not a happy camper.  Mommy held me down and that nurse lady came at me like a spider monkey.  I got one in the left thigh and two in the right.  As soon as it was over mommy gave me my paci (pronounced pass-ee) and I gave her a huge smile.  She needed that because she was fighting back tears watching me go through it.  I enjoyed my snuggle time when we got home and pretty much slept the rest of the day.

I'm slowly learning how good it feels to get a good nights' rest.  I slept through the night 3 nights in a row, but I was just playing with mommy and daddy.  I can't help it!  I get hungry!  I'm back to waking up once a night.  Speaking of hungry... I LOVE cereal!  My mom puts cereal in 2 bottles a day and man, is that good!  I scarf those bottles down like a champ.  Maybe someday soon she'll let me eat it off a spoon.  I'm hoping by Christmas I'll be eating Grandpa's prime rib...

I went on my first road trip!  My daddy had to go to St. Louis for work and he invited mommy and I to tag along!  Sunny came too.  We could see Busch Stadium and the arch from our room.  In fact, we watched a game from the comfort of our beds one night!  We also took in the St Louis Zoo which was fun.  The monkeys were pretty cool - one jumped right onto a ledge right where mommy and I were sitting - made me kinda giggle!  On our way home we detoured through Macomb, mommy and daddy's old stomping grounds, and they showed me where they went to college.  Good ol' Western Illinois University!  It was family weekend which was very fitting.  We took in part of the football game and ate lunch at ISS (International Sandwich Shop).  Well, I hit the bottle while mom and dad went on and on about how good it was!  Fun times!  It was 10 years ago when my mommy and daddy met there and the rest is history!  Who'da thunk they'd have me 10 years later?!?!

I attended another birthday party (Happy 31st, Mommy!) and helped mommy and daddy celebrate 2 years of wedded bliss.  Gross!  I'm getting sappy!  These people keep me on the go.

So my mom hasn't posted since I was 1 month but she figures she is already "that mom" and keeps everyone more than updated with lots of texts/pics/Facebook posts.

I am 2 months old today!  I'm not talking or walking yet but I'm sure growing!  My mom had to wash all my 6-9 month clothes because I've outgrown everything.  We'll see just how big I've gotten at my Dr's appt tomorrow.

Have you seen my smiles?  I'm sure you have because mommy and daddy ALWAYS have that dumb camera in my face.  As soon as I see that big black thing come out I turn very serious.  Haha - jokes on them. ;)  But, really, I smile all the time!  It's funny to hear my mommy and daddy argue over who gets more smiles.  I tell you what... there will be no smiles tomorrow at my 2 month Dr's appointment.  I heard doc telling mommy at the last appointment about what shots I will be getting.  Those do not sound fun but I'm sure I'll handle them like a champ.

I LOVE sunny!  Have you met Sunny?  Sunny is my Baby Einstein play gym.  I lay under an arch of toys and in the middle is Sunny who sings and lights up.  My little legs kick and kick and my little arms swing and swing.  I can play under there for a long time... long enough for mommy to shower and get ready... and that's a long time.

I'm coo'ing and aware of my surroundings much more these days.  I have settled into a routine for the most part.  I only wake up one time during the night these days.  That's about all for month 2 of my life.  I eat, sleep, and *try to* poop.  Life is good!  See you in a month!

I am 1 month old today!  Mommy tells to stop growing up so fast.  She can’t believe how fast this past month has gone.

I’ve had a lot of “firsts” already!  To name a few… went to my cousin’s baseball game, spent an afternoon in Lake Geneva, been to a few restaurants (yep, mommy and daddy already introduced me to their Chili’s friends!), went to Target (actually, I have done more shopping already than I’d like to admit), attended my first birthday party (Happy 30^th, Daddy!), been on many walks outside, hated my first bath (but now I love the water!), watched many White Sox games and golf with my daddy, and more recently I’ve become very alert - holding my head up and coo’ing.  I can’t forget to mention how fun it’s been meeting all my family and friends!  You’re all pretty cool.  Big thanks for all the gifts everyone has showered me with… my mommy tells me I’m fun to dress!  I’m like her real-life Cabbage Patch doll (really, mommy? You’re embarrassing me)!

I gave my mommy a run for her money when I was making my debut into this world.  We labored for 36 hours when she finally demanded a C-section.  I was NOT about to slide through that small passage - are you kidding?  She and Daddy couldn’t wait another minute to meet me.  I’ll leave details out because those just get my mommy riled and she says I was worth it anyways :)  We were in the hospital for 5 long days and can you believe I was the only boy born?  Yep!  It was 7 girls and me.  Needless to say I didn’t put up a fuss when Mommy sent me to the nursery the first night – haha!  But, here I am!  Cute as ever!  You can watch me grow and keep tabs on me on this cool blog thing.  I’ll try to remind Mommy to do this more often than once a month.

We are welcoming a new bundle of joy to our family!

You read right... We're having a baby!  Due June 25, 2012!

This whole blog thing is new to me but I wanted to keep a journal of this exciting journey!

It all began two weeks ago on Sunday, October 30.  Being 10 days late was not normal for me so I decided to take a home pregnancy test.  So much was running through my head when the "+" result showed up.  I had always thought I would do something special/creative for Jason when I found out but instead I went right up to him and simply said "I'm pregnant"! (To the point, huh?) Our heads haven't stopped spinning :)

This would explain some things...  bathroom breaks all day/night, wanting to take 12 naps a day, and some VERY sore... OK, never mind!  I could get detailed but I'll spare y'all!

We couldn't wait to tell the grandparents-to-be! We went over to Grandma and Grandpa Gillund's (on Tuesday 11/1) and interrupted their dinner with our news.  We called Grandma and Grandpa Dixon the next night and spilled the beans to them.  We can't wait for EVERYONE to know!

We plan on telling the rest of family on Thanksgiving.  After all, we have a lot to be thankful for!

On Tuesday, November 8, we went for our first Dr's appointment!  He informed us of the due date - June 25, 2012!  We talked about some do's and don't's, what to expect, and next time we will listen for heart tones!

Uncle Greg and Aunt Mary Jo took Jason and I out to dinner this past Friday for my late birthday celebration.  When I opted for water Uncle Greg grew suspicious.  "Water?  At your birthday dinner?"  OK, OK.  You're going to be aunt and uncle for the 4th time!
