1 Year Old!!!

Well, here I am, writing this blog as a 1 year old. A whole year has passed since I came into this world and what a year it's been! It has been one busy, fun, crazy month, hence me getting this out to you quite late. Sorry about that! I finally gave in to my last round of belly pics... it was late, I wanted my milk, and this was all I gave 'em!

I did it... I made it through 12 months of this torture!

This feels like old news by now, but I'm walking! It happened right after I last wrote to you. I just started to let go of furniture out of the blue and off I went. Walking is fun! I've taken a couple nasty spills but that's all part of the game, right?

And can I just tell you how much I'm loving summer!?!? The sunshine, the warm air, sprinklers, pools, splash parks, being outside all the time, etc, etc. This is FUN!!

I have to tell you... we met my little brother or sister last week! My new baby is growing right on target! He/she kept putting an arm over its face so we are already playing nice together. A nice little game of peek-a-boo. And no, we still have no idea whether to think pink or blue. Only 18 more weeks to learn of that.

My first birthday party was a hoot! I had an absolute blast with all my family and friends! And my mommy and daddy let me smash my very own cake!!! Usually, I get in trouble for playing with my food so I couldn't believe they let it happen. But, the celebration didn't end there. On my actual birthday, I woke up to more presents from mommy and daddy, a trip to the splash park, more water fun in my backyard with my pool and sprinkler, and another 'lil party with pizza and more cake. Whew! These birthday things are tiring!

Last weekend, my mommy, daddy and I took our first little family get away to Door County, WI. There was a restaurant with goats on the roof!?! My daddy kept saying, "Only in Wisconsin, son." Not only to the goats on a roof, but to many more things. He said one day he'll explain to me the culture of a Packers fan... I can't wait for that. We also happened to stumble across a Vince Gill concert and, of course, leave it to my mommy, get us to MEET him too. If you know my mommy, you know she LOVES her Vince Gill. It was a great weekend. To cap it off we stopped at my girlfriends' house in Green Bay and played some more.

Well, I think that just about wraps things up. I hope you all had an awesome 4th. We took in a few parades and cookouts. I have yet to see a fireworks show... I only heard them from my crib. My daddy's birthday is coming up so I better rest up in case that, too, is a week long event ;) Keep enjoying summer! I know I will!

11 Months Today!

Hi All! Today I am 11 months young.

11 Months! 5.27.13

I can't believe I'm almost a year old either... although I hear a pretty fun party is in the making! Plus, it's just a number and I'm okay with 1. I share my birthday today with my Uncle Jerry. Uncle Jerry, are you 11 months old too??? (Why is my mommy snickering in the background as I type that last question?) You must not be. Regardless, Happy Birthday, Uncle Jerry!

I just got back yesterday from a really long car ride trip with my mommy and Grandma Gillund. We went to Minneota, Minnesota! (nope, that's not a typo). It was a 10 hour car ride that I handled like a champ. Nothing a few movies and snacks can't get you through. It was so much fun though! I met a lot of family and friends, including several 1st, 2nd and 3rd cousins!!! I also had some of my mommy's favorite broasted chicken in Ghent. Oh yeah, can't forget the stop at Dairy Queen. It's not a road trip to Minnesota without some Dairy Queen says my mommy.

My tunes and messes resulted in helping daddy put locks on the cabinets...

Nope, I'm not walking yet, but, I do like to shake my head "no"... and I know what it means. I still love to dance, and more recently I clap my hands for anything exciting and yell, "yayyyyyyy" Like when I pulled into my driveway yesterday! That was reason to celebrate. Oh, and it only took 11 months but I finally hold my own bottle.

I hope you all had a fun Memorial Day and took a moment to give thanks to those who serve and who have served this country. We had a pretty relaxing day and just hung out at home. Our Memorial Day BBQ was a Chili's! ;)
Today marks the unofficial start to summer! But it's cold out! So here's to a warm up and sunny skies. Have a fun month of June as I know I will. See you in a month on a special day!!

10 Months Today!!!

Happy (beautiful) Sunday! I'm 10 months old yesterday!!! And I have some pretty exciting news to share with y'all...

My shirt says it all...

You read correct! I'm going to be a big brother!!! And a great one at that :) My only child title is due to expire on November 1st. My mommy is 13 weeks along with my new brother or sister... And brother or sister (?) will be the question of the day for the next 27 weeks! We've already met he/she at just 9 weeks along. I can't wait to play baseball! And golf! And cars! And dolls??? Whoa! I can't believe I just said that but if I get a sister I suppose I'll have to play dolls at one point or another... We will all have to wait and see. I already warned my new baby about the sticker on the belly pictures. I'm sure our mommy and daddy will torture him/her too!

Whew! I was so excited to tell you my big news that I kind of forgot what else I was going to tell you. I'm still not walking. I talk... A lot... I have so many great stories at all hours of the day. Lunch time, dinner time, bed time, 3am, it doesn't matter. You're gonna listen.

Always on the lookout!

We love how its finally warming up and becoming so nice outside as I'm sure you are too. I love to play outside but seriously... What is that green stuff on the ground?? I don't like to touch it and I don't like it touching me. I will stand by my toy all day long before I have to sit and crawl somewhere. Yeah, yeah, mommy - if I would just walk I wouldn't have to touch it. I understand... Don't say it.

Hah! This is a true test to see who reads my blog! It's been a pleasure as usual. Sorry it's late... the day got away from me yesterday but I hope I made up for it! 9 Months Today!

Did I catch a niner in there? 9 months old today, friends!

9 Months Today!

First and foremost, I say mama! My mommy asked me to make that a priority because she's so proud of me. I still say dada a lot too but whatever makes her feel good. I also throw tantrums and if you tell me "no" I'll shake my head no at you! My mommy calls it attitude. I call it personality :) To each his own.

I'm not walking yet but I am taking tumbles down the stairs. I'm OK though. My mom cried more than me. What can I say? I was curious, mommy was occupied, and up the stairs I went. She realized where I was and came over to me. I turned around to see her and down I went. Blood gushing and all... the night of the blizzard... and daddy was out of town. She called Grandma in hysterics and thought for sure Grandpa would have to come over on his snowmobile to take me to the ER. Pfff - and she calls me drama? That was a long week for her! I was out of sorts. Cutting two teeth, battling a nasty cold, and just majorly on the move. So much that she put me in baby jail. Mommy - just a side note - I'm all boy... I promise that won't be my first and last tumble ;)

Who doesn't smile at meal time?

I had my 9-month check up this morning! I can type that with an exclamation point because there were no shots today. Thank goodness. However, I did leave knowing I have, yet, another double ear infection. Where there's teeth coming in, there's ear infections. That's the name of the game. I'm a wholesome 23 pounds and 30.5" tall. One big, happy, healthy (well, for the most part) boy!

St Patty's Day was fun! I tried some corned beef but preferred the chicken wings instead. Yes, there were chicken wings there too?? I'm looking forward to my first Easter! I did see the Easter bunny from a distance but I didn't sit on his lap. I'll save those lap stories for Santa and only Santa. One strange looking character a year for me is good.
