4 and 20 Months!

4 Months! 2.28.2014
FOUR!!!!  My sister is 4 months today!  How appropriate because we're very golf-minded around here lately after attending the golf show last weekend.  I've been working on my swing and thank goodness there's not much to break in the basement because golf balls fly around and bounce of off anything and everything.  Use caution should you enter my driving range.  Who's hiring?  I picked out a set of clubs at the show but mommy quickly ka-boshed that idea.  She said she gets new shoes before I get new clubs. I guess I'll just keep practicing on my Little Tikes set and save my pennies.
Check out that follow through!

Gold Medal! (in golf... someday)

I finally made it to my 18 month check up not too long ago (even though I was darn near 20 months) and we continue to see I'm way tall for my age... and I still HATE shots.  I really shouldn't complain though, my sister went through the ringer and I have no room to whine about 1 simple little shot.  I'll let her tell you her story.

Hi friends!  It's true.  All hell broke loose shortly after we last wrote you.  I went to the doctor and learned I had a nasty cold.  Dr. Collins told me it would get worse before it got better and let me tell ya, did it ever!  My mommy brought me back to the doctor two days later where they took one look at me and wanted me to the ER ASAP!  There began my 5 night, 6 day all inclusive vacation...  I had RSV and some other virus so it was a double whammy.  I was having a really hard time breathing.. so hard I partially collapsed a lung.  Nebulizer breathing treatments, deep suctioning (that SUCKED!!! - excuse the pun), steroids, and a top notch children's hospital did the trick.  I have to admit, I missed my big brother.  He's a pretty cool kid.  Mommy and daddy tell me if I want to take them on another vacation it better be to Hawaii - warmer, prettier, and cheaper.

Here we are, 4 weeks later to the day and I have either a whole new cold or the remnants of the nasty one.  I went to the doctor again yesterday and we're doing all we can to avoid another hospital stay.  It seems as though being a whole month older is really helping me.  My coughs are clearing the gunk, which is huge, in addition to more breathing treatments and more suctioning here at home.  Anything and everything to keeps the gunk from settling in my lungs.  My daddy is a pro with the sucker machine. Fingers crossed I can stay home!  Back to the doctor tomorrow for another checkup.

WINTER GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being transferred to a {much} better hospital
Not feeling well...
Wishing they would leave me alone!

Always wanting to snuggle
Rest wasn't easy...
They were always doing something to me

Of course, still smilin' through it all
So exhausted from all the
crying and no sleep
Finally, off oxygen and maintaining my levels
A very common scene over
